Make the Most of What You've Got

I'm here to encourage you to make the most of what you have around you. Here in the dead center of the United States we just don't have that ocean view. I always see the cutest photos of little one's playing at the beach. I decided to get creative and figure out a way to get those "beach" photos without hopping on a plane and flying across the country. We headed to the local park that has sand volleyball courts, equipped with our beach toys, and sportin' a bathing suit. I with camera in hand. We finally have our beach-like photos. Sometimes you just have to think outside of the box. And for you on-the-coasters, I'll trade you a tornado or two for one of your oceanside beaches, shoot I'll even throw in Toto too!

oh my! i just love this shot. the pp, the babies, the black....or maybe quite possibly it's because i have "the itch" that will not be getting scratched. ha ha. whatever the reason...i love it.

[free is good] - photography class

free is very good. if anyone is interested in participating in a free online photography class - creative techs is offering one starting next week - 15 july. i took their online photoshop class for cs4 and picked up a lot of new tips. This class will be taught by John Greengo from the PBS series Art Wolfe's Travels to the Edge. Make sure you sign up now, in order for these cyber classes to happen, they need at least 1,000 attendees and they usually get that many too! they are at 486 attendees right now so don't wait! it's always great to pick up some new tips for shooting. let's keep that inspiration flowing.

hello everyone - i hope you all had a wonderful july 4th weekend - here in the northeast the sun finally showed her face and we had crystal blue skies with fluffy clouds. the weather was perfect and we were able to enjoy the holiday with family and friends eating lobsters and steamers! all very new england of course.
