gentleman's) private room. --Cowper.

Boudoir photography. Some of you may be seasoned pros at this--but some may not even know such a thing existed! With Valentines Day looming on the horizon, we at TML thought, what better time to do a boudoir intro?
Every woman can celebrate her own, unique beauty in a tasteful manner during a boudoir session. These steamy sessions are gaining popularity--especially around Valentines Day! Anniversaries and birthdays are also fun reasons to book a boudoir shoot.
Boudoir photography myth #1: "I don't have the body." We say pffftht! Love what you have, rock what you've got! Celebrate yourself! Let the photographer do the rest!
A couple of tricks of the trade:
Shoot from above, try a dramatic angel, tell your client to be selective with the lingerie. Use the sheets, hand positioning, and lighting to your advantage.
Tell her to bring shiny, pumpy, sexy shoes.
Know your way around Photoshop {make sure to ask the client if a nip here and there is desired or not.}
Be tasteful. Try not to go Playboy...don't try too hard. Try not to be nervous! The scantily clad lady in front of you is probably feeling nervous enough for both of you. Make her comfortable, make her laugh, play some music, offer a bit of wine or champagne {optional of course!!} The wine and/or wine glass can also be a fun addition to the photo. {so can teddy bears, her husband's white button down, a plate of milk and cookies...the list goes on!}
Have fun!!
And don't forget to take pretty pictures of the pretties.
