Tell us one sentence to describe your photography:
Capturing the heart of childhood.
How long have you been doing photography and how did you get started: I have been taking pictures for a long time. I call myself a photographer only for the past year.
If they made a movie about your life, what would it be titled and who would play you? Happily Ever After as I am all about a good fairy tale and right now I am almost living one! I don’t care who would play me as long as she is funny, charming, and prettier than I am. :p
If you could own one exotic animal as a pet, what would it be, why and what would you name it? I would love to own a farm in the mountains and have lots of sheep! Can you imagine the amazing photo opportunities? They would all be named, words that I like to use like enchanted, whimsy, magic, laughter. Poor sheep! :D
When I was really young I wanted to be a star performer. When I got a little older I wanted to be a really good mother. The mother part I accomplished, the really good part I am still working on.
If you were given $500 today, what would be the first thing you would do?:
I would use it to buy things to redesign my house.
Where do you go to find inspiration?:
Everywhere! Inspiration lies around waiting for me to find it.
What type of sessions are your favorite (children, e-sessions, weddings, newborns....) and why?: I love children sessions! Toddlers and Preschoolers are my favorite sessions. They are all about imagination, and still so fresh to all the wonder in the world.
What equipment do you use and if you had only one lens to use...what would it be?: I shoot primarily with the Canon 5D II. I use mainly my 50 1.4 lens, and sometimes my 28 1.8. I can live with just the 50!
What is your current favorite pair of shoes?
Um, I have a LOT of shoes. I love shoes, especially flats. I have them in every color possibly sold! Almost every color anyways.

What was your first paid session like? Were you nervous? Did it turn out how you wanted? I had done almost 100 practice sessions before I did my first paid session so it went pretty well. I always have a little nervous energy before a session but that pushes me along.
What moment in your life makes you smile every single time you think about it?:
The first time I got to hold my son. It was an amazing moment to see such fresh life.
What is at the top of your wish list right now?:
My wish list goes horizontally so I have a lot of things on the top of it! Right now I really feel like I need a great vacation!
Tell us the best advice that you have ever received (photography related or life in general): Think positive and believe in yourself
If you had an entire Saturday to do whatever you wanted...what would you do? I love playing tennis, photographing children in classy clothes, amazing locations, and gorgeous light, or just reading a good novel with a happily ever after ending.
If we surprised you at your house today, what would be the first thing we would notice? Um. A big mess.
And lastly.....when we started the maternal lens, all of us filled out this questionnaire and shared our answers....now it's your turn :)
What is your favorite word? Um. I use um a lot.
What is your least favorite word? Drama. I hate drama.
What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Creatively, when I buy new things that look old. Spiritually, seeing people rise above challenges and being good people in spite of pain. Emotionally- accomplishments make me happy. Both big and small.
What turns you off creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Creatively- clutter. Spiritually- when people only think of themselves. Emotionally, cold and dark days.
What sound or noise do you hate? Any amount of noise that is discordant.
What is your favorite thing to say when you get mad? When I get really mad, I usually go really quiet first.
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? I would love to write novels with happy endings. I love words and writing.
What profession would you not like to do? Anything boring.
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? “You did your very best with the life I gave you.”
